i have an S-video cable and i put it in the tv and the laptop but what do i
do on the tv to set it so that it will show my laptop.

Sit it on the bonnet of your car, and you can be the Driver!

The TV must be connected and powered on when you boot the laptop. Select the
AV input for the S-Video connection in the TV menu.
