| Hot Keys to turn off/on my display I am using Vista Business on a Dell Vostro notebook. I would like to make my screen go blank if I have to leave for a moment or two without going into sleep mode or hibernation. On an earlier version of Windows in the past, there was a place I could put the cursor that would make the display jump to screen saver. I cannot find either a combination of hotkeys or a special zone for my cursor to either turn off (force blank) the screen, or shift into screen saver. I am sure this is a simple matter, but I can find no instructions for this. Please help. |

| Re: Hot Keys to turn off/on my display cdlynes, You might want to consider using the Win+L combination to lock your keyboard when you set away from the computer. I realize that this is not a direct answer to your question. karl "cdlynes" <cdlynes@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C9AA8C00-FBD4-419B-B54D-453C18D4C8DA@microsoft.com... | RE: Hot Keys to turn off/on my display No info in your Dell's User Guide (in Help and Support)? Consider this: Press Windows Logo Key +L and your log-on window will display. Now the computer shuts out any peekers until you come back to your desk and enter your pasword. Log-in takes less than 5 seconds. I don't know if you can do that with Vista Business but it's an option in Vista Home Premium. good luck... -- oscar :) ....Right click is your best friend...
