MAC:00-00-00-00-00-00

I am getting a MAC: 00-00-00-00-00-00 address on the nvadia NIC. I
contacted HP and they asked me to mail in the laptop to there hp
service center for repair. I am running Vista home ultimate with SP1.
With this error the wireless works fine and has a good MAC address. I
am reading here and there about fixes for this fault. I have tried one
reg fix that did not fix the prob. The driver will not uninstall
unless it is being uninstalled by the new driver which makes an error
appear in the device manager. Can any one help me with this issue?

Re: MAC:00-00-00-00-00-00

The MAC is in the NIC firmware and has been erased, possibly during a BIOS
flash.

If you know how, it may be possible to reflash the BIOS and write the
correct MAC code with the flash utility switches, but the code will have
been assigned uniquely to the laptop and unless you know it, will have to be
rewritten by the HP Service Center.
