Unable to send a fax via Snappy Fax

Following advice on the forum I have downloaded Snappy Fax but am unable
to use it. I am getting the error message:
"Your com port option has not been set. Go to Settings (Modem Set up)
and select the com port your modem is connected to"
What should I do?
Windows didn't find a modem automatically and I don't know how to
select one from the list given.

Re: Unable to send a fax via Snappy Fax

Install the drivers that the manufacturer supplied along with the device. If
no drivers were provided, visit your modem manufacturer's web-site.

Re: Unable to send a fax via Snappy Fax

I attach Snappy1.png which shows my Snappy Fax (Menu)/Settings/Modem
Settings. You will see it is using Com3 and it might be worth trying each of
Com 3, Com 2 and Com 1.
You might try StartButton/Control Panel/Hardware and Devices/Modems (expand
[+]) and investigate the Properties of the device there. The Advanced tab
shows the Com Port and you can also run the Diagnostics (tab). If that fails
right-click on the the modem in Device Manager and select Uninstall, then
restart and let it be discovered as new hardware.
