One Year of Using Vista -- It Does Nothing Better than XP For Me

Some people like Vista.

There is nothing in Vista that improves the way I work, and Office
2007 was so much worse than Office 2003 that I removed it.

I know Microsoft doesn't listen or care, but many people agree they
really failed to deliver the improvements people wanted in their new
software offerings last year.

I like Vista. Aero beats Luna any day, and I can finally get off that
classic theme I've been using since 1995. On a PC that can run Vista
and run it well it's a pleasurable experience. I've been using it at
work lately on a pretty powerful box and I've gotten spoiled by it.
You're right tho, there's nothing about it that improves my
productivity, it only makes that productivity more enjoyable to look
at.

Office 2007 runs great for me personally. People I know that have it
give it generally positive reviews. The ribbon is a little weird but
I'm getting used to it.

I find that XP Windows Media Player has so many problems
that I switched over to Ubuntu.

their word processor makes RTF documents, the audio player works,

all the parts are there

And for me I really can't see being saddled with Microsoft Products.

And many MANY more agree it has delivered.
The world IS more that your personal view.

Vista improves the way I work.
Office 2007 improves the way I work

Probably like me. Wasted money buying Vista (once). Wants to let others
know you don't have to run Vista. There are alternatives, older XP, Ubuntu,
SUSE, RedHat, Fedora and others.

I agree with all of S.SubZero's comments. Vista and Office 2007 have been
good experiences for me, and I wouldn't want to go back (although I use XP
on my laptop).

indeed, curious that

the utility of a computer is secondary to the import of their politics.
the activist needs to be against SOMETHING :)

I have not wasted my money with Vista. One cannot help it you don't know
what you're doing. You couldn't even be a programmer and ran from that. Now,
you're standing up in a MS NG talking to me about Linux? How ridiculous is
that? I don't think so.

I am going to say one other thing here. I see you hanging in this NG and the
Advocacy NG, and you're hanging out here on the Internet just a little too
much for me to even respect you. With that said, I think that there is
something wrong with you mentally. You may wind up in my killfile.

All you've really accomplished is to prove to everyone here what an
incompetent whiner you really are. In fact and unless you're a liar
(which you proly are), you having stated in here that you're an IT makes
you all the more an incompetent, inept, whining loser.
But I figure those facts won't stop a fool like from further proving
what a complete fool you are.

Re: One Year of Using Vista -- It Does Nothing Better than XP For

I heard that Microsoft is working on a new system to replace Vista next year
because of the problems in Vista. Does anyone have information about the new
system?
