I think the one you want is the Chinese (Simplified, PRC)-US Keyboard under the General tab. You can then click on the Language Bar tab and pick your setting for it. Let me know if this works. It works great. You have to click on the Language bar and switch it from English to Chinese. If it doesn't work after you do this hit the Control/Shift buttons and then start typing. When you type the word you want it will type in English and then give you a selection of Chinese words to choose from, such as 杜 霞, my wife's name. You must choose the correct Chinese word because, as you know, each Chinese word can have several meanings depending on how you pronounce it, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. See how easy that is. Let's do your name. 体-付-土。 Let me know if you have any problems. C.B. -- It is the responsibility and duty of everyone to help the underprivileged and unfortunate among us. |

You are not describing what is happening. You can not type chinese characters into the computer. You type pinion. Then you choose from the results. For example: you want to type fish in Chinese. You must type "yu" then select it from the pop up list because "yu" can be fish or a persons given name or family name or many other things. If this is not helping you, please describe what you are doing and the results if you want further help. |

| Re: Chinese language 1-Yes, I understood what you want. 2-This is the only way to accomplish it with the windoz system 3-Chinese language, having 50,000 basic characters, will not fit on a usuable keyboard for typing purposes. 4-Even in China, they use the same system we explained to you. 5-Some rare systems use hand recognition software with a touch screen or tablet to accomplish the task you wish. BUT as I said, it is not available with the included windows system. IF you wish to locate this type software, google "Chinese language software hand writing recognition" for a start. Changing your search terms may vary results + or -. ie. " vista" or "xp" etc.....
