| No Output Device Hi, I've recently upgraded the RAM on my Computer, turned the machine on and everything seemed fine, until I noticed that there was "No Output Device installed". I've noticed many topics about this subject but all seem to be occurring after installing Vista not RAM, any ideas? |

| Re: No Output Device Tom, Just guessing here does that msg really say "no audio output device installed". Is it possible that in the process of upgrading the ram that you knocked a wire loose or knocked a card loose or changed a non-ram related bios setting:? In any case, Win+R | DevMgmt.msc to run device manager and then check the devices for yellow and/or red icons. karl "Tom" <Tom@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:901F5EE8-55CA-4FAC-B95C-F3B503442096@microsoft.com... > Hi, I've recently upgraded the RAM on my Computer, turned the machine on > and > everything seemed fine, until I noticed that there was "No Output Device > installed". > I've noticed many topics about this subject but all seem to be occurring > after installing Vista not RAM, any ideas? > |

| Re: No Output Device Thanks for the reply Karl. Yes, it does say "no audio output device is installed". I made sure I was careful when upgrading the RAM, but if something was knocked, how would I know? Everything that was touched seemed fixed and not loose at all. | Re: No Output Device Also, I searched the Device Manager and no icons were red or yellow. I noticed on the Sound, Video and Game controllers" there is only "ASUSTek Tiger Capture Device", usually the Realtek HD Audio is there too.
