KB947562 update failure

Hi NG,

I have done a "clean" reinstall of Vista Ultimate two days ago and
everything is running exceptionally well on this machine. So I feel a
little guilty nit-picking about one update that continues to fail. It is
KB947562 that fails with an error code of 8024200D. Anyone else getting
this?

Go to [url]http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947562/en-us[/url].
Download the appropriate installer and manually install.

Windows update is probably having issues checking that your Windows OS
is "Genuine".

Dear Mark, I am no expert but I think you are probably lucky. I was very
puzzled that I could not get this update-it always "failed". However, it
seems that everybody who actually got it found themselves in big heap of
trouble. Respectfully suggest you avoid it like the plague until ms sorts it
out and we all find out exactly what is going on here. Kindest regards,
