| Re: Sound Recorder is not saving in WAV file format in Vista Vista's Soundrecorder defaults to saving in .wma format, except in Europe (N edition). You can save in .wav format by starting the program with a parameter... soundrecorder /file outputfile.wav You can put this line in a shortcut. Also, the XP sndrec32.exe will work if you copy it over. Or, you can download a free program, like Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ which is also an editor. -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP1 http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "chandra" <chandra.3ajeoj@no-mx.forums.vistaheads.com> wrote in message news:chandra.3ajeoj@no-mx.forums.vistaheads.com... > > hi All, > > > Does any one know how to record an audio file in the format of WAV with > Vista? > > > -- > chandra > Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com > |
