Keyboard function key mapping

I have a HP Pavilion Media Center TV m7367c Desktop PC:

I have upgraded from XP MCE to Vista Ultimate. The infared keyboard and TV
remote (Happauge) work but the special function keys for media controls
(play/pause, prev, next, stop) and other specific function keys for e-mail,
internet, eject CD 1 & 2, etc. do not function at all on the keyboard. I
have it set for dual boot and everything works in XP but not Vista. I want
this to to work with everything before I remove windows XP.

The keyboard properties MICR and 109 keyboard come registered as "Microsoft
eHome Infrared Transceiver" and the HID keyboard device Manufacturer is
listed as "standard keyboard" on USB Human Interface device.

Is there a way to map the keyboard to identify and assign these keys for
Vista?
TIA

sorry if this looks like a duplicate "reply" post from the mediacenter
group.

Re: Keyboard function key mapping

ok Ray, *dumb* question. Have you cked w/HP to make sure you have the proper
Vista driver for the MM keybd.? I mean that is the only thing I can think
of. See if HP sells your keybd on a Vista PC. You can *try* asking them. But
that is prob. a moot point.

Re: Keyboard function key mapping

Download and install the most recent driver.
That will presumably do the trick.

Kind regards,

Rob.
