Mouse Pointer Dissappears

My Laptop
DEll Inspiron 1520
Windows Vista Home
1GB RAM
Celeron 1.86GHz

When watching moives my mouse disappears.
If I use the CTRL key to locate it, the circle indicates but cannot get the
mouse to return without shutting down.....powering off!

Re: Mouse Pointer Dissappears

Open Device Manager in Control Panel, doubleclick your USB Root Hub(s) and
set the Power Management tab to not "allow computer to turn off this device"

Re: Mouse Pointer Dissappears

Hi Mark

Thanks for the reply.
I looked at the USB check box setting, but it it wasn't checked.
Although I don't think it's relevant as I am using a PS/2 mouse.

What I meant to say was that the mouse pointer dissappears.

Any other suggestions

Re: Mouse Pointer Dissappears

Thanks fro replying

The pointer trails were not set....I tried all possile mouse
configurations....but no success.

I wondered if there was some other setting in Vista that I might have
overlooked but I concluded that it may be a Vista flaw.
