| Unable to send faxes any more Until recently I've been able to send and receive faxes using the software that came with Vista but now I can only receive them, every fax I try to send gets "call not answered" message. It is of course possible that the calls are not being answered but unlikely as I've tried many different numbers. Any idea what may be causing this? Jan |

| Re: Unable to send faxes any more I would be looking at the Modem. Possibly something lacking in the 'init' string. Try removing the modem in device manager, and see if it rebuilds that. Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the Modem device, Action menu, "Uninstall", (do Not put a check in 'delete driver") then Action menu,"scan for hardware changes", to find the device drivers again automatically. -- Was this helpful? Then click the Ratings button. Voting helps the web interface. http://www.microsoft.com/wn3/locales...eAPostAsAnswer Mark L. Ferguson .. | Re: Unable to send faxes any more I've done what you suggest but still can't send any faxes, - now with every fax I try to send I am told the number I've dialled is not recognised! "Mark L.
