You really are stupid. You just can't wait to find any negative print about Vista and get this big "hard on" to rush to the group and spew your garbage. Who really gives a RATS ASS? Why not go to the local YMCA and hand out towels to the senior citizens? |

| Re: Gates: Windows 7 will "take less memory, be more efficient" LOL, so many idiots sat there with 2GB of RAM but think Vista is bloated because the RAM meter shows 40% in use at idle. My advice: open the PC and unplug the RAM, then it won't be in use :) it will be as much use to you unplugged, if it's not being used. Long answer: What you call BLOAT is in fact making everything run faster by loading things into memory so they run almost instantly when you click the icon - try running "top" on Linux or Mac OS X - the inactive part, is memory that's full, but can be emptied should be needed. Vista does this too, only pre-emptively. Vista may run slower for some apps, because it needs to emulate the old GDI way of drawing to the screen. Programs that use the new APIs shouldn't have this problem. Mac OSX users didn't moan because their classic apps ran slow in "Classic Mode" - they accepted the need to evolve. So stop moaning. Just as people said they loved Windows 2000 when XP came out, and how everyone suddenly loved Windows 95's lack of Active Desktop (and er.. USB Support) when Windows 98 was released... History repeats itself. Notice how I skipped Windows ME :D Now for another beer.... Marc |

Why don't you volunteer at the local nursing home changing bedpans, since you are so comfortable playing in sh*t all the time? -- Peace!
