| Re: winService.exe Has Stopped Working Hi, Sounds like the Rbot bug. Your AV software removed the file but not the registry reference that loads it. Run regedit from the start/search line, navigate to these keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices Click on each in turn, then check for a string that loads it on the right. Select and delete just that string from the right pane. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Max Daniel" <mdaniel@gt.rr.com> wrote in message news:A4A45D77-5E8E-459A-91FF-70FB18CEA8D2@microsoft.com... > Shortly after I boot up Vistas Home Premium I get a message winservice. > exe has stopped working.
