I meant re-register to this forum. Again, that depends: Do you want to use "msnews.microsoft.com"? If so, no username/password are necessary. Just the "msnews.microsoft.com" server address. If you want to continue using panix.com, you will not need to change usernames/passwords, although it IS advisable. You will have to create an account on your new computer, no matter what you do. But you won't have to create NEW login details, unless you want to. If you have a decent newsreader like Agent (or even Windows Mail) you can just launch this URL to get access to the Microsoft NNTP server: news://msnews.microsoft.com. It should add the account to your newsreader. Then all you have to do is display the groups and choose the ones you want to subscribe to. NOTE that the above NNTP server ONLY has Microsoft's dedicated newsgroups. If you want non-Microsoft groups (there are well over 100,000 Usenet groups), you will have to use a third-party NNTP server.
