| Task scheduler doesn't run the task Hi, I have a problem in vista 64bit: If I set up a task in the Task Scheduler and I check the "Wake the computer to run this task", the computer wakes up (from hibernate) at the specified time but the task doesn't run. Is there any solution for this? -- Perez ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Perez's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=48753 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=964968 http://forums.techarena.in |

| Re: Task scheduler doesn't run the task Hi, I checked everything, but it don't works. The user account has administrator rights. If I start the task manually, it is run. I attached the screenshots of my settings, you may see what can be set up wrong. | Re: Task scheduler doesn't run the task I would like to run a TV application (DVBViewer) and my own script. As you can see on picture #3, the task scheduler doesn't start a simple message either if the computer is in hibernated state. If the computer is on and I logged in, then all tasks starts in the scheduled time what I set up. I tried a lot of combinations of settings and I tried on an other computer. The result was the same: tasks not run, just wakes up the PC from hibernation. I tried it already. If I schedule something else (EX: display a message), the PC wakes up at the time I set up for the message and if I schedule my application 1 minute after the message, it starts. So I have to set up 2 tasks to run 1. This is so ... hmmm..... The task scheduler worked for years on XP with no such bugs. I don't understand why is Vista's scheduler doesn't do the same. I like Vista because it's much faster then XP and has other good things but I really need this scheduling function. May there will be a hotfix which solves this problem. I think I will set up a multiboot system (XP and Vista). Thanks for help, Perez -- Perez ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Perez's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=48753 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=964968 http://forums.techarena.in |
