Group Policy Client Service Failed the logon - Access Denied

Hello,

I get the following error: Group Policy Client Service Failed the logon
- Access Denied when I try to log on to my laptop running Vista. I booted on
safe mode and try to log in, it started to log in but then displays logging
off. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

I got this message after my desktop totally changed and had
issues...apparently this is caused by a hacker or virus. Find a system
restore point where your computer was running fine. And perform system
restore. Took care of my issue when M-Soft couldn't give me a fix.

I too have had the same problem & I am unable to do a system restore,
unable to do a great deal as I can log in as another user, but I can't
install anything without adminstrators consent, but it just doesn't even
allow me to put a password in.

One could speculate, but you really need to provide more details as to what
preceded your restore and how you performed your restore.
If done right, you wouldn't have this message.
