Re: vista sleep automatically re-starts computer

I know this doesn't sound right, but I couldn't get my computer to sleep
until I set the mouse, keyboard, and network adapter to not "wake the
computer".

Re: vista sleep automatically re-starts computer

I'll try that....my computer is setup with a wireless keyboard and mouse
as well as a camera....so I will go through each of those devices and
see if i can find a setting to make sure they don't wake the computer

Re: vista sleep automatically re-starts computer

It's in "Device Manager". Right-click on the device and look in "Power
Management".

Re: vista sleep automatically re-starts computer

Close but not quite there....if I remember right look under *network
adapter* >Power management>deselect items under wake LAN or similar words to
that effect.

Re: vista sleep automatically re-starts computer

Mark,

I may be missing something.....but when I right click on the each of
the devices the only options I am presented with are

Update Driver Software
Uninstall
Scan for hardware changes
Properties

When I click on Properties there are no options relating to Power
Management available to select or change

Any help appreciated

Re: vista sleep automatically re-starts computer

Maybe the problem is in the bios or the hardware. That's all I have, sorry.
