Folders within John Folder

I am running Vista Ultimate on my laptop and have noticed a lot of folders
appearing in what used to be My Documents. They look like this
{7eb54fe3-071b.....................} Some are empty and others have sub
folders. I assumed they are something to do with the installation of
hardware and perhaps software. My question is can they be safely deleted?

thanks

JohnP

Comparing creation date to your recent activity will probably indicate their
origin. You use Windows Live mail, so it's not a newsreader, but there are
lots of apps that use temp folders.

Mark

thanks for that. It tells me that they are temp files and having looked at
them I can see they are connected to the installation of my lexmark printer
and Nokia phone PC Suite. Thing is, is it safe to delete them now ??

Re: Folders within John Folder

Since you can run the successful install again, and you want to find out, I
can see no real consequence, beyond a little extra work if they happen to be
needed. I would think they were not, anyway.
