help with junction points

Last week I transfered my files from my old XP computer to my new
Vista computer using the Easy Transfer Wizard. Then I had iTunes find
all of the music files on my new machine to complete my library.

The problem is that I now have duplicate listings for every single
track in my library. If I click "Get Info" to see the folder location
of the files, I can see that each track appears twice, one in the
folder location
"C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Documents/My Music/"
and the other in the folder location
"C:/Users/Public/Music".

If I select one of the "Documents and Settings" tracks and click "Show
in Windows Explorer", I get a message box that says "Location is not
available. C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Documents/My Music is
not accessible. Access is denied."

Well, I've done enough reading online to know that the "Documents and
Settings" address is a "junction point" used for backwards
compatibility with the XP folder structure, as opposed to an actual
folder location. But I still have unanswered questions:

1. Are there really two copies of each mp3 on my machine?
2. If so, can I delete the copies stored at the junction point? I
don't want 60 gigs of music if I only own 30 gigs.
3. How do I remove the duplicate entries from my iTunes library?

Thanks for your help.

No, there are not two copies of your MP3s. Junction points are virtual, not
real. There is nothing to delete at the junction point because nothing in
reality is stored there because nothing *can* be stored there. It isn't a
real place, just a pointer.
