It is free and available from www.openoffice.org. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com Don't Panic! |

Open... Office... which views any Microsoft Office file, from Excel and Word to Powerpoint and Access, and lets you edit them and or convert them to other formats, for free. For free. I've been using it for awhile, and it's beautiful. Just beautiful. Only works with Excel 97-2003 docs (files with .xls extension) and not with Excel 2007 docs (files with .xlsx extension). Won't do charts either. So... if the spreadsheet you want to view is fairly simple, you could use Google Docs to view it without having to install a viewer or OpenOffice. (Although you would have to create a free Google account...) If the spreadsheet is more complex, then you may have to go with the viewer or OpenOffice. Lang |
