file has properties that cannot be copied

Hi.
When I try to copy to a external drive or burn a CD with my jpeg photos and
avi movies taken with my canoncompact digital camera I get the error "The
file has properties that cannot be copied to the new location" on all the AVI
files, but not the JPEG files. The properties that does not get copied is the
timestamp of when the short movie was taken. Very anoying cause I want to
sort my photolibrary after when the picture/movie was taken, and that does
not work if the timestamp on all the movies resets. Does the ntfs filesystem
save the timestamp seperatly? I thought that was saved inside the file.

Any help is appriciated.
