It's a consumer product. So all I know is that I want control of the
consumer products I purchase.

It's like a music, I wouldn't pay for music if it was wrapped up in DRM,
so why would I want an OS that is wrapped up in DRM, and limits the way
I can use my other consumer products that make up my computing environment?

DRM - Digital Rights Management.

Technology that manages your rights. Where software code is the master,
and humans are the its slaves.

You are just on your own personal crusade to virtually "ethnically
cleanse" this group all on your own.

Not from the perspective of those that read you lame-assed posts here.
I wouldn't want to be you, even if given a Billion dollars tax-free.

Really? It would seem that you are the one that is all alone.

Hello, all of Frank's friend!

No, I fairly use copyrighted material for the purposes of education, and
criticism.

"I just love it when a plan comes together."

But then again the concept of "fair use" is way beyond your intellectual
capacity.

Yes, I know. The only things that matter to you are the voices in your
head, and your Almighty MS.

People don't matter to you at all.

1.) I do have Vista installed, though admittedly I don't use it much.
2.) I don't "hate" Microsoft. MS is a proven corporate criminal, and as
such, I don't have any respect for it. But even if I did hate MS, I'm
still better off than you, hating your fellow man.
3.) I not a "fanatical zealot lying linux troll."

Hell do you even know what distro of Linux I run? If you don't, then
that's proof at least that I not as much of a fanatical zealot as you
are for Microsoft, in general, or Vista, in particular.

Haven't we covered that enough? Google is a technological search tool.
It is not sentient, no matter what the voices in your head tell you.

Yeshua ben Yosef was a really cool dude, but its too bad the words
attributed to him are way beyond your comprehension.

I bet even the hope-mongerer Obama, would see you as a lost cause, Frank.

MS didn't "invent" DRM, but they do honor the copyrights of others. If
that bothers you (and it sure seems to), then don't purchase DRM goods.

Can you load Vista on a removable drive?

Can you make a copy of your vista install to run on a LiveCD, even if it

You are totally deluded if you think you control the consumer product
that is your OS.

Wrong, DRM goes way past "honoring" copyrights. DRM is meant to enforce
control way beyond copyright law.

I don't, and I do advocate that others do the same, until all consumer
content is DRM free.

> No, the rights of those who created the material.

After purchase, no copyright owner has the right under law to tell me
how to use my legally purchased consumer products in the privacy of my home.

Find the law that says they do, but Google won't be you friend on that
one, dude.

But please come back with the DMCA! I rip you a new a**hole if you dare
to try that one.

The individual Authors of Copyrighted Material? Yes. The colluding
trusts of the Corporate Copyright elite? Not on your life!

Nope, you obviously don't give a sh*t about how you appear to others at
all.

Why? Do you want to live vicariously through me?

I'm glad you agree.

You mean like the argument that their must be a "God" because everything
has a maker. A watch never spontaneously created itself.

Yet when that same twisted logic is applied to "God," then that just BS?

You mean that kinda fantasy?

Or how about the one where DRM is meant to stop piracy, not control how
the paying customer use the content?

It's you that's living in the fantasy world, where War is Peace,
Ignorance is Strength.

Naw! That would be you. The sycophant of a known corporate criminal.

Nope. Again that would be you vainly trying to justify your slavery to
DRM technologies.

They were convicted of many corporate crimes all over the globe. The
USDoJ prosecuted them and won. The EU convicted them, and still have a
few more cases pending

Try using your best friend, the Google.

when you, who have responded to me the most in this group, doesn't even
know my primary OS?

Sorry pal, but MS has not been accused nor convicted of any criminality,
in any "criminal court" anywhere in the world.
Being a monopoly does not constitute "criminal activity".
