charge the retailers *anything* on which to base their retail price.
And, for your ignorant information, I buy all my Microsoft software from
a wholesaler and the price increase is just as obscene.

and the wholesalers and, well, they are told by MS what the minimum is
that they can charge. Both MS and the retailers/wholesalers think that
your average EU consumer won't know it's more expensive here than in the
USA.

they sell to the wholesaler/distributor.
But that's not what we're talking about is it? We're talking about the
retail price that the wholesaler/distributor/retail sells it at...and it
sure as hell ain't at the min price MS says it may be sold at..and they
can set that price anywhere above the min suggested price they
want...and obviously they do!
