D-Link DI-524 with Vista Ultimate

Hi,

Since a couple of days I get below message, when I try to log into my D-Link
DI-524:

The server 192.168.0.1 at DI-524 requires a username and password.

Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent
in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).

I use my UserID and PWD that was working before.

I also did a Reset on the Router and that does not help.

Under a new Windows istallation it works fine.

As far that I know my Symantec Norton 360 is not blocking.

Is there another setting to set ?

Can I trace what happens when I try to log into my Router or does anyone
know a solution ?

Regards,

Jerry

How do I reset my router back to the factory default settings?

I had the same kind of problem with a D-Link WBR-1310 when adding a computer
to the network. It turned out that I was failing to save my settings while
logged on to the router. Might you be doing the same thing?
