How do i disable stupid things? New to me too. Grasping at straws, it might be worth right clicking on the taskbar and toggling "Lock the Taskbar" back and forth in case something is overlapped. |

| Re: date pops up randomly Mataeux I have seen this anomaly several times. If I have a .pdf file open in Acrobat Reader and use the Find box to search for a word, the search progress bar appears at the bottom right corner of the page, directly above the clock in the Notification area. This causes the date popup to display. Apparently the search progress bar causes the date to display. Normally the date popup should only appear when you move the mouse cursor over the clock. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "mataeux" <mataeux@basicISP.net> wrote in message news:26D5D89A-7A12-4DA1-A087-359ABE19A7C9@microsoft.com... > Why does this date pop up at random times?? > > it only goes away if i click on and off the calendar. > > am i being punished?
