You do know how to Market Ubuntu but your problem is you've been trying to

They SOLD OUT so customers obviously bought them. BUT, the profit margins
weren't there on these lo-ball machines and retail space is expensive. So
Wallys World made a decision to stock those shelves with something else.
Done all the time in retail and doesn't reflect on demand at all.

You missed one little detail here Mr. Yawn in your car analogy ...

The Fords in question were much like Vista: the ignition switch moved to
the trunk, the blinker switch on the back of the headrest and the bright/dim
switch in the glovebox. On top of that they crashed all the time and
literally fell apart, so that everytime one changed the oil in one of them,
one would never know if it would ever start again.

Linux on the other hand is aptly described below:

"If you want an OS that doesn't chauffeur you around, but hands you the
keys, puts you in the driver's seat, and expects you to know what to do:
Get Linux. You'll have to devote some time to learning how to use it, but
once you've done so, you'll have an OS that you can make sit up and dance.

You certainly don't know what you are talking about as usual. Just another
putz here in Vista Land. You obviously don't like Vista so anything anyone
says doesn't matter to you. Why not go slither over to the Ubuntu forums
and help those poor souls who can't get their Wonderful Ubuntu to do
anything except read e-mail and surf the net. If you enjoy technology that
is 10 years past, then go for it.

For the rest of us who need to get real work done, we will use a Windows
solution. Maybe Vista isn't 100% up to the task, but Ubuntu is crippled.

Remember, Ubuntu/Linux is FREE and the people don't want it. You just can't
get that through your thick skull.

Yawn, keep telling yourself that. It isn't true. I'm installing three
tomorrow for people who want the horrible Vista off their machines and
who don't care if they lose support from the OEM. In fact, if a
potential client calls up with a Vista problem, we tell them the only
way we can help is to reinstall XP if they have it or install Ubuntu.
After they laugh out loud, they usually go for Ubuntu.

I have practical, on hand experience with this and you have FUD from
Microsoft that you believe and if you're told by your computer to hop
through activation/becoming "genuine" hoops, you bend over and let
Microsoft stick it right up your posterior. That doesn't make you very
intelligent and renders your boring and ill informed argument moot.
