Why not go slither over to the Ubuntu forums and help those poor souls who can't get their Wonderful Ubuntu to do anything except read e-mail and surf the net. If you enjoy technology that is 10 years past, then go for it. For the rest of us who need to get real work done, we will use a Windows solution. Maybe Vista isn't 100% up to the task, but Ubuntu is crippled. Remember, Ubuntu/Linux is FREE and the people don't want it. You just can't get that through your thick skull. |

It isn't true. I'm installing three tomorrow for people who want the horrible Vista off their machines and who don't care if they lose support from the OEM. In fact, if a potential client calls up with a Vista problem, we tell them the only way we can help is to reinstall XP if they have it or install Ubuntu. After they laugh out loud, they usually go for Ubuntu. I have practical, on hand experience with this and you have FUD from Microsoft that you believe and if you're told by your computer to hop through activation/becoming "genuine" hoops, you bend over and let Microsoft stick it right up your posterior. That doesn't make you very intelligent and renders your boring and ill informed argument moot. Alias |
