adobe reader 7.0.8

has anyone had a problem with this adobe reader 7.0.8? it came installed on
my laptop & i ve run updates for the program & it still freezes my computer
any time i click on a link for adobe, i ve even tried deleting it &
reinstalling , i cant get it to delete under uninstall programs, it throws up
a error that says this patch package could not be opened, verify that the
patch package existsand that you can access it. does anyone have any
suggestions on what to do! any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

The patch should be listed in "Programs and features" in control panel. Take
it out and re-download a new copy. (Open the reader and use the help menu to
'update')

Uninstall v7.0.x

Install Adobe Reader v8.1.2

ok i thought it was gonna work but it didnt, it went throught the downloading
process but it was 93% complete and it throwed up a box that says error 1714
the older version of adobe reader 8.1.2 cannot be removed. and as i said
before i cant delete the 7.0.8 version it throws a error also.

Adobe Reader v8.1.2 does not work on my Windows Home Premium and I had to
switch to Foxit as a reader.

adobe reader is bloatwear uninstall it and install foxit instead....fast
small footprint and no constant updating
