Text cursor.

My problem is that I have just opened a 'New' document and the flashing
cursor (which indicates where to start typing) appears to be a full-stop. I
can't remember what it was before, but it certainly wasn't this. I have read
all the posts regarding cursor problems, but none of the fixes have worked.

I also noticed the change appeared in my previous document and I kept trying
to delete it because I actually thought it was a full-stop.

Any other suggestions please.

You probably want to state that you are opening the "document" in
Notepad, WordPad or whatever you are talking about.

RE: Text cursor.

Thanks for both replies but when I switched on this morning, the cursor is
back to its original style. Obviously I should have tried re-booting in the
first place.

Regards,
