Internet Explorer

I am having a problem with Windows Explorer. I have Vista Home Basic on my
puter. Explorer will sit and run forever unless I go into task manager and
end it. Then when I go into Explorer right after that its okay. Then to shut
down Explorer I have todo the Task manager again. On Task Manager it says its
running before I end it.
Is there anything I can do. I am not a puter Geek but can fairly understand
if I am told to do something.
I must say thanxs to all. It is great to be able to get answers ..

Re: Internet Explorer

Your question is confusing. Are you talking about "Internet Explorer" which
is in your subject line or "Windows Explorer"?
Read then post back.

Happens everytime you open IE (for the first time)?
Specific pages?
What is your default homepage?

Re: Internet Explorer

To get the best advice post your question to
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general. Use a more descriptive subject.
Internet Explorer as the subject doesn't say anything.

Re: Internet Explorer

It happens everytime clicking on or clicking off of Windows Internet
Explorer. There is really no specific pages and my default homepage is yahoo.
i only got this puter in August of 2007 and it has had a new hard drive in it
already. I noticed it doing the same as before as if the harddrive is going
again. Its an Acer. Hope this helps

What is clicking on/clicking off?
Try changing your default homepage to default:blank of google.com.
Does the problem still exist? If not then perhaps the problem is with the
yahoo page.
