| Copying/moving photos in Vista Is Vista really this unusable? I have large amounts of select photos that I need to move to other folders. The problem is, in Vista I cannot see the thumbnails to see what to move. Do I have to write down the name of every photo that I want to move? MS office picture manager won't allow cutting and pasting. Do I have to use third party software to move photos? |

(there are more options to organize your photos with both programs, you might want to get a book and read how to use both programs) Adjust your view options in Windows Explorer if you want thumbnail images of your photos then you can use Windows Explorer to organize your photos if you so desire. (there is also a preview pane if you wish to use that) |

| Re: Copying/moving photos in Vista Joseph, the reason it is a Vista issue is that you cannot view photos in Vista like in XP, so you do not know what you are moving without having the photo name. There are many ways to view and organize photos with Vista, if you give us more detail on exactly what your trying to do we might be able to help, But with vague questions and comments expect the same in return. |

| Re: Copying/moving photos in Vista Dave, that is exactly what I am talking about. I must use other software because I cannot see the photos that I need to move with Vista. The security built into it does not allow the option to view photos in Vista as with XP. Office picture manager will not allow copying or pasting to a folder, only within the program. Even if I open picture manager twice to allow pasting, it will only allow pasting, not cutting from the original folder. These are tasks that should be handled by Explorer (Vista) and not by a photo viewing program. | Re: Copying/moving photos in Vista Mamamegs, the thumbnail view is not an option in Vista. That is the problem I am having. So I cannot see the photos that I need to move. The view options in Vista are: extra large icons, large icons, medium icons, small icons, list, details, and tiles. None of these show a preview of the photo.
