Help w/font problems

How can you ensure your Fonts in all of the vista operating system doesn't
change? i turned on the computer a couple of days ago and the fonts on all
screens and every option( msn email, MSN explorer, Word, the icons, etc) was
super small! i touched nothing nor made any changes, merely turned on the
computer. I can adjust the size in individual emails and i attempted in MSN
internet( not explorer) to enlarge the font, but to no avail.
I was told by another user, this just "happens" in vista but it can be
fixed. If so, does anyone know and can they walk me thru the steps? thank
you!!!!

Re: Help w/font problems

DPI changes are one way this can happen. Fonts another.
open Control Panel/Personalization.
In the left pane, click Adjust font size (DPI).
Most areas of windows depend on the ICON font choice.
Control Panel/Personalization/Color and Appearance/'open classic
appearance'/ Advanced button/set dropbox to ICON, see Font box and size
settings.

Re: Help w/font problems

Thanks Mark, I appreciate the reply. I will try this and see if it works. if
not, my house will have a lovely new "skylight" just the size of a computer
tower!

Cheers.

Re: Help w/font problems

You probably have a Basic version of Vista. You will find the Appearances
tab on the DISPLAY app in Control Panel.

Re: Help w/font problems

I'm not showing that...when I open fonts, it's a basic page of fonts -
nothing that will allow me to change anything. I am unable to find
"personalization" anywhere..
