Access denied on Public folder

Hi there,
why would I get access denied on files in a folder under
Public. Shouldn't everyone have access to Public? I am an administrator as
well.

Re: Access denied on Public folder

Hi,

Because someone or something altered permissions. As you have an admin
account, just go ahead and change them back.

There's nothing to change. I have full access.

Re: Access denied on Public folder

The paths in the brackets are accessible under normal circumstances. It
would be trying to access it via 'Public\Documents\My Pictures' that would
produce an 'Access Denied' error.

Re-reading your original post, It's unclear on whether you get this error
when you attempt to view the contents of the folder or access individual
files within the folder.

When you are verifying permissions, are you doing so via the 'Effective
Permissions' tab of the 'Advanced Security Settings' dialog?
