| Can't run 16 bit program in VISTA I get the following message from the 16 bit windows subsysytem: SYSTEM\Current\ControlSet\Control\Virtualdevicedrivers. VDD. Virtual Device Driver format in the registry is invalid. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application. My questions is how do I fix this problem since it does not give me a hint as to what I should look for to repair. -- Kermit, long time windows Office user but new to Outlook |

| Re: Can't run 16 bit program in VISTA Rick & Mark, I appreciate your efforts and I looked at both items. They were the same. I edited the registry as directed and the VirtualDeviceDrivers was empty. I added the VDD rebooted and tried to program. I still get the same error message. I went through the process twice to make sure I did it correct. I checked the command.com and it is the8-23-2001 version. I'm still open to suggestions. Thanks, -- Kermit, long time windows Office user but new to Outlook "Rick Rogers" wrote: > Hi, > > Written for XP, but the problem and resolution are the same: > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314452/ > > -- > Best of Luck, > > Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP > http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ > Windows help - www.rickrogers.org > My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com > > "Kermitp" <Kermitp@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:054FCDB1-6CCE-41B1-9754-B384AD550ADF@microsoft.com... > >I get the following message from the 16 bit windows subsysytem: > > > > SYSTEM\Current\ControlSet\Control\Virtualdevicedrivers.
