Animated Desktops

I downloaded some animated desktops from freeze.com and I can find them on my
computer, but I can't seem to find the way to make it active. Can anyone help?

RE: Animated Desktops

Leogirl, don't touch anything from freeze.com!
They include 3rd party advertising spyware in everything.
They have been known for this for years!
Fishtank screensavers, etc!!!!!!

If Defender does not stop any spyware from there, install, update and run
the above program,(Spybot Search & Destroy 1.5.2), as well.

You've gotten excellent advice from Mick and SG about how evil freeze.com is
(very evil), but there is another issue you should be aware of. In Windows
XP, you could have an animated desktop by using the Active Desktop feature.
Active Desktop doesn't exist in Vista because it is a very large security
hole. So you can't run those types of animated desktops in Vista anyway.

If you like to decorate your desktop, some safe wallpaper/skins sites are:

Re: Animated Desktops

Hi Malke; and thanks for the info about Active Desktop in Vista(not!).
We learn something every day; or we should!
