mail problem

I am using Vista home premium and outlook 2002. once a day, i think at the
same time each day, outlook 2002 gives the following error:

- Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook is unable
to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive
this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider
(ISP).'

after some time it resumes send/receive succesfully by itself. any
suggestions on why this issue is occurring and how to resolve it would be
appreciated.

RE: mail problem

Outlook 2003 and later are compatible with vista.

Outlook versions prior to that do not remember your email account passwords.

That is why you are getting that error for incoming mail.
You have to re-enter your email account password each time you open your
email program.
