mozilla firefox

Is there a problem trying run Mozilla as your browser? I am trying to use
'view multi-browser' in my Expression Web and Mozilla Firefox will not open.
I just recently changed from XP to Vista and imported all my programs.

That is an Expression issue, in general Firefox works fine with Vista.
Please post your question in the Expression web forum or in the newsgroup,
you will usually get very good help from that friendly community:

Re: mozilla firefox

Sorry but is not an Expression problem. I cannot open Mozilla at all. I have
since uninstalled it and reinstalled with Digital Locker. I can click on the
Mozilla icon and/or Mozilla.exe file in Programs and still nothing opens or
happens.

That may have a wide range of causes. Perhaps a corrupt install or download,
or an issue with the security software. Check firewall and app monitoring
settings, also see if you can dig up some information in the Event Viewer
(Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Administrative Tools).

Re: mozilla firefox

Thank you! I have tried the reinstall option but without success. I don't
know. I click the icon and the load icon kicks in and then just never
returns.
I'll keep sniffing around. Thanx anyway.

Download and install Crap Cleaner from www.ccleaner.com. Uninstall
Firefox and reboot. Run Crap Cleaner's Clean up and Issues features.
When asked to back up after the Issues feature is through, back it up
and create a special folder for these back ups.

Reboot. Run the Issues feature again and back up anything it removes.
Reboot again and install Firefox.

Did you remove the profile also? That isn't uninstalled when you remove
the program and will be picked up by the new install.

Re: mozilla firefox

Thanks for the link to ccleaner. I did ask you suggested and cleaned the
registry twice. yada yada yada but still upon reloading Mozilla Firefox, it
will not open. IS THIS A PROBLEM WITH VISTA????
Has anyone had a similar problem?
I really don't need the Firefox browser but would like to check that my
website designing is working for that browser.
Thanks, I am just frustrated.

After uninstalling Firefox and running CCleaner, did you also delete the
Firefox folder in Programs and wherever else Vista keeps these things?
If so, I'm afraid it is Vista and a reinstall is in order.

Re: mozilla firefox

Hi,

I'm using Vista Ultimate, and Firefox 2.0.0.11. They work great.
The only reason I have for running Firefox is to access an old DSL box,
which doesn't like IE.
I'd suggest a complete removal, restart, re-download, and re-install of
Firefox.
I have to say Vista has been good to me. Only one program driver not
available, and the scanner company seems to be dragging its feet on it.

You don't have the latest version of Firefox. Help/Updates.

But did you remove the profile like I asked previously? If you don't,
it is useless to uninstall and reinstall the program, as the problematic
profile will continue to be used.
