Photoshop Elements 4.0 Vista Compatibility

On start-up, I receive a "known compatibility " message in my Vista system.
I click on the "find solutions" and get to the Adobe site which confirms
compatibility issues. When I go to the download site, a patch for this
specific problem is not there.

How have others resolved this problem?

Re: Photoshop Elements 4.0 Vista Compatibility

This is probably not the answer you were looking for but just I gave up and
installed 5.0 along with premiere elements 3.0.....both work fine now.

Re: Photoshop Elements 4.0 Vista Compatibility

That confirms once again that it's all a racket.

Software from big companies with corporate accounts and de facto monopolies
is not expected to last more than a year or so. Don't bother looking for
updates.

A common feature of such software is that it doesn't work as intended.

Regards

That's why the world rotates. Has to be. Doesn't matter if it's a pair of
slick looking socks or a new dress for the lady.

Re: Photoshop Elements 4.0 Vista Compatibility

MS indicates that there is a patch to fix PS elements 4 but MS is wrong. The
fix is elements version 5 or later.
