| Currupted pictures when copy from Camera Often When I copy pictures from My Fuji FinePix camera to Vista , some of the pictures get disturbed. Some is only halv and some is cut i 2 pices which does not really match. The lower part may be pushed 1 or 2 cm to rigth or left. Next time I copy the same pictures, then it might be some other pictures that are split in 2.. or 3. Iwhen I copy the pictures to another computer with XP, all goes very well. |

Unfortunately, Vista has problems doing this type of very fundamental task. Vista is buggy and seriously buggy when it comes to moving data around, be it over a network or to USB drives. I wouldn't trust using Vista for any serious computing requirements. You should wait until Microsoft can patch the **** thing to the point that you can trust it to not corrupt your data. It might be a long wait. Cheers. -- What does Bill Gates use? http://tinyurl.com/2zxhdl Proprietary Software: a 20th Century software business model. Q: What OS is built for lusers? A: Which one requires running lusermgr.msc to create them? Frank, hard at work on his Vista computer all day: http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/compost.htm |

| Re: Currupted pictures when copy from Camera You do not say much about your system or method for getting pictures to computer: USB hookup to camera or memory card reader? Fuji application? Go to Fuji website and download updated software or drivers compatible with Vista. Other USB devices function OK? I use Vista to regularly move my digital photos over my wireless network to publish on the Web. I'm up to 6+GB in 54,000+ files. I also move this and other data to USB drives and flashdrives, not to mention all the ISOs that are up to 8GB. Really, you may believe what you said and that's OK, but to disseminate it as fact is laughable. |
