persistent state

Hello,

A file called 'persistent state' has appeared in my user folder, does anyone
know what it & can I delete it. It seems to have no file type. If I open it
in notepad it contains gibberish.

Thanks

KK

Literally any program you have installed could have created it, so it would
be difficult to say. Its creation date may provide some clues if there's
nothing discernible in its contents.

"Uninstall or change a program" in control panel has an 'Installed on'
column which may also help in that respect.
