Re: HttpEvent ID 15016

Thanks, Mark. I am an unexperienced vista user, how can get into
authentication to disable anonymous authentication.
I did open Internet Options - Security - Local Intranet - and uncheck
"Automatically Detect Intranet Network. and the HttpEvent ID 15016 "unable
to initialize the security package kerberos for server side authentication.
the error continues in Event viewer.

Security tab, highlight local intranet, click "Custom Level" button, scroll
down to the bottom for anonymous logon radio button.

What can't happen because of this event? What are you trying to do?

Re: HttpEvent ID 15016

Hi

I know this thread is getting a bit old, but this error message still
persists for may people, so here is the scoop on this one.

Unless your machine is a part of a Domain, this message can be Safely
Ignored.
Apparently this pops up in Vista with SP1 installed and is meaningless
for most users, only those ones who are part of a Domain need to
contact MS Support for more info on this one.

Hope this helps those of US that have this stupid error popping up
constantly....;)

Dave
