| Micro SD problem I have a memory card for my phone. So I put it in my micro SD adapter and i put it into my computer. Nothing pops up, and I search and can't find my memory card on the computer. Before when I had XP this worked fine, but now with vista it doesn't. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this or where to find it? |

| Re: Micro SD problem Generally the card reader will show as a removable drive. Mine show in My Computer as drive G H I J. I just looked at my card reader, there is no auto notify option. Since the card reader(s) are already installed, you won't get a new hardware prompt. SD cards don't usually act like a CD/DVD and tell you when they are inserted. Once you put a SD card in, just open the drive that it is in and you should see your files. | Re: Micro SD problem Well, I can't find the driver that it is in. Under disk drives, 1 of them says: Generic- SD/MMC USB Device. Is that the one? If so, how do I open it or find it? | Re: Micro SD problem If your micro SD card is an SD/HC type it may not work in older SD card readers. Also, if you have a network drive attached as a drive letter sometimes Windows attempts to use the same letter for SD card reader. You can tell if thats happening by going into control panel, System & maintenance, administrative tools, and double clicking on Computer Management. This will show you all the physical disk drives (hdd, optical, flash etc) and their assigned drives letters, which you can adjust if it clashes with a network drive. You could just re-assign a new drive letter for the network drive also.
