Like word processing, spreadsheet, video, graphics, etc.... Not like that toy Ubuntu that needs a rewrite each 6 months and hundreds of thousands of updates month after month just to get it to boot up. tisk tisk tisk. Ubuntu is FREE and the people don't want it. Go figure. |

| Re: I Returned To The Future Of Computing, Just FYI What? You're insane! Ubuntu is arguably one of the, if not the most used Linux distro. Every time I see a Linux demonstration these days it's performed on Ubuntu. FWIW, unlike Windows, you don't have to reformat to use a new release of an existingly installed Linux distro (long as you are doing official releases and not betas and alphas), so who cares if they release a new release every 6 months? Take an hour to upgrade, and that's that! Ubuntu is sloppy compared to the most other more popular and repuable distros such as Slackware and Gentoo, but what you said is a massive exaggeration. | Oops. Update Oops. Linux Is Very Confusing. I Just Stare At The Icons On The Screen. I Don't Know What They Mean. Just FYI I Think I Will Install Windows 2008 Server.
