| some start menu items cannot be displayed When I click on the start orb I get a message saying 'some start menu items cannot be displayed' How can I correct the issue and prevent this message from being displayed? |

| Re: some start menu items cannot be displayed It would depend on what you find 'missing' from this new start menu. There may be some shortcuts on it that point at folders that no longer permit access. Usually it's an old app that has 'hardwired' a path to '/Documents and Settings' (instead of "/Users"). You can rewrite the path using an environmental variable. ( like %userprofile%/Documents/ or whatever) -- Was this helpful? Then click the "Yes" Ratings button. | Re: some start menu items cannot be displayed Right click the Start Orb. Select Properties. On the Start Menu tab, press the Customize button. Set the "Number of recent..." spinner to a smaller number until the message goes away when you press the Start Orb. I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS! | Re: some start menu items cannot be displayed Your answer has nothing to do with that message. It is a simple Start Menu properties tweak. I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS! "Mark L.
