| Re: MS Word 2007 suddenly stopped working properly Hi Paula, Click start and type "regedit" (without the quotes), then hit <enter>. Click continue at the prompt. This will open the registry editor, and you must be careful about what you do here. Expand the branches at left by clicking the triangles to reach the listed subkey (each key looks like a folder). Basically, click the triangle in front of each of these in succesion (each is a subkey below the previous one): HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Office 12.0 Word Under this level you should find the Data key. Right click on the "Data" key to rename it. Doesn't matter what you call it, just not "Data". Once completed, close the registry editor and restart the program. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Paula" <Paula.3kshra@DoNotSpam.com> wrote in message news:Paula.3kshra@DoNotSpam.com... > > inkysmiles;3981625 Wrote: >> Hi all, >> >> This is my first post on this site. | Amazing post I could not find better help anywhere in the entire internet. Thanks a lot. It solved my long standing problem. If you are part of Microsoft support team, why don't you give out such useful fix on your support website??? It will help thousands. Thanks, Ranjan Rick Rogers wrote: Re: MS Word 2007 suddenly stopped working properly 21-Dec-08 Hi Paula, Click start and type "regedit" (without the quotes), then hit <enter>. It will help thousands. This is NOT a Microsoft support team, but rather a conglomerate of volunteers with varying knowledge degrees to help fellow Vista users. Be thankful for it. <H>.
