| Trouble with email on Vista with Server/ISA Server 2000 Hello, thanks in advance for any assistance. I am having trouble getting email to work with our first Vista computer at work unless I enter the IP addresses of our email provider's servers in the account settings. Using the server names will give an error stating that the servers cannot be found. We have an older private network at work consisting of a Windows 2000 DC server and another computer setup as an ISA 2000 server. The servers are for handling internal permissions, structure and to provide control and protection on outbound connections (ie, connecting to the internet and email). Connecting to the internet works fine on this new Vista machine but I cannot get the email to work without tricking it by using the IP's. This works but I get a certificate warning every time I open Outlook...selecting Yes allows it to work but this is not a real fix. I am using the same account settings that work on three previous versions of Windows and I have other computers running Outlook 2007 without problems. I have tried the automatic configuration for accounts in Outlook '07, even testing personal accounts, but I am not getting anywhere. I am not an expert but it seems like a DNS issue between Vista and our 2000 server(s). Any insight? Thanks. -- Thanks, Mark |
