A friend of mine put Ubuntu 7.10 on a Dell XPS M1330 machine and it made him

He formatted the hard drive and installed Vista Ultimate. Now he is smart.

No. It is true. I was talking to him the other day and he was normal. As
soon as his Dell machine was powered up with Ubuntu on it and he called me
up on the phone, he was babbling like a little baby, crying and throwing
tantrums. I mentioned to his Dad that he needs to get Vista Ultimate back
up and running. As soon as he had Vista running, he was normal again.

Dell computers come with Windows Vista PRE-Activated thay do not need to be
Re-Activation every time you reinstall windows so the 120 days is out the
door the DVD and bios takes care of that !!!
