disks arent being recognized

whenever i put a disk into the drive (any disk, blank, music, game, etc.), my
computer will not recognize it and will not autorun it.
i tried looking for it via the Computer panel but it doesnt seem to show
anything.
my vista is a Windows Vista Home Premium if that helps.

Hi,

A lens cleaner disk might help. Buildup on the drive's lenses can cause this

Get a Mac.

Why you people STILL put up with Windows is absurd!

Life is too short to waste anymore time with Windows.
