Ultimate: problem burning 2 R-O DVD....

hi,

I'm having a problem burning to a read-only DVD... burning to read-W
DVD is no problem.. I get an error at the end of the process: "there
has been an error burning to this disk"

I'm trying to burn some photos into a DVD as a gift I have to deliver
tonight.. pls help.. (yes, the disk I inserted is blank, yes the drive
write-to-dvd...;)

sometimes after I drag all the files and it finishes copying I can't
eject the disk, or, if I can, it doesn't read the photos if I insert it
again... (no probs burning to a R-W DVD, only to a read-only..)

all I want is a data-DVD with the photos, I don't need any kind of
interface, menus, etc.. just a data-DVD, but I want it to be read-only
if possible... I would appreciate some help..

I'm on Vista Ultimate; have Roxio 9, but don't see options in it to
create data-DVDs, so I just copy the files into DVD by dragging them
from the folder in my HD to the DVD..

thank you very much..

it sounds like you are using the Roxio drag-to disk feature.
make sure you have the latest version.

hmmm.. I finally managed to burn one, but when I inserted it in my
roommate's computer (XP) it shows the disc as blank, it crashes her
WinExplorer..

but I just inserted it again in my own machine and all the files are
there ok.. (no, I didn't use Roxio at all, just dragged from folder to
folder in WinExplorer..)

thank you...

Roxio has a "plug & burn" functionality, but nowhere does it ask you
where to get the files from (no 'browse' button that enables you to
navigate to where you want to get files from..)

I just tried dragging the files to the Roxio drag-to-disk feature, but
got error, DVD is read-only so can't drag files to it... (yes, it's
read-only, but it's a virgin one....!!) oh brother...

thank you...
