| Re: recognizing my mic It is better if your mic is digital. I presume it is plugged in the right jack. Control Panel>>Hardware and Sound>> Sound>> Manage Audio Devices>>Recording>>Place the cursor on the microphone is question, highlight it, Press Set as Default>> Configure>> Set up Microphone>> Make a selection (Desktop vs. Headphone)>> Next>>Dictate into the mic.
